<br>People on the bus – the rather grim elderly gentleman spotted me drawing him and got even grimmer. He was scary and did a good line in Glowering, so I stopped… which is why he has no body. Serves him right.
It’s been ages since I had time to just sit down and draw something just for myself – in the middle of a weekend that’s slightly more leisurely than usual, I managed this little sketch of my weird attempt at home beautification. Not pot plants but bag plants! Hmmm…

A page of biro sketchiness from sitting listening to speakers at the SCBWI conference. I WAS listening, honest I was!

Hi Sarah,

I’m loving your illustrations and sketches.
I’m drawing myself and not sure how to go about it; I love illustrating, especially for kids.
In any case, if you have a word of advice (how and who do I show my works etc) – I will be really happy to get an email from you.
Take Care!

Hi Magda;
I’ve been getting a lot of queries from people about how to get started. I’m definitely no expert and I feel like I’m just making it all up as I go along, but I think it might be nice to put together a page of links and good starting points for people who are wondering where to begin. It’ll tke me a while, but I’ll let you know when I’ve posted it.
